First of all about this video, I thought the animation and graphics were pretty cool. Also, I didn't really know that it was that easy to get a copyright on things. As an educator, I think that this movement opens up more ways to be creative. Some of my ideas or any other teachers ideas can be copyrighted and then if published they can be reused by other educators. Like in the video, it talked about a teacher, a writer, and an artist. Any of these professions who produce certain work and it is copyrighted and sent out there for everybody to use makes a difference in the world. Sharing your ideas gives other people insights, even if they are not in the same profession, your ideas can open up new ideas for other people.
People build and use critical thinking based off works that are published. It opens up new doors. Without people sharing their ideas in books and other published work, students wouldn't be able to learn from other people's experiences and so forth. I think it is great that in this generation, people are free to express themselves more and there are more and more resources out there for people to use.
